Thai Soon

Today I tried the orange chicken at Thai Soon in Richardson for lunch. They prepare it very different from what I'm use to, however it was very good! Plus if you go for lunch you get an awesome veggie egg roll included with your meal. I usually insist on soy sauce with any meal I eat rice, however the orange sauce around the chicken had such great flavor I spread that into the rice and I found myself thinking about the flavor the rest of the day. Definitely a must try!

Sichuanese at Coit and Park

Today we went to Sichuanese.  It was surprisingly busy.  This place has horrible customer service in my opinion.  They only ever have one person as the waiter for the whole resturarnt.  He seats, does drinks, takes orders, delivers orders, and rings up people.  I wouldn't be surprised if he cooked the food as well.  Anywho, I of course ordered Orange Chicken (which wasn't on the lunch menu, but I always seem to get a *lunch* price.  A big Thank You Sichuanese!).  

I think i should rate this dish on several levels:

Presentation:  Very nice presentation, had thinnly sliced oranges placed around the plate.  Very decorative!

Chicken:  Not my favorite chicken, it was fried.  But covered in the sauce atleast!

Sauce: The sauce was decent.  It had a rich orange flavor but not citrus-y.  

Overall: A 6!  Definaletly a good place to go for decent orange chicken at a great lunch price: $6.55.

Orange and Lemon Chicken

I consider myself an expert on what is good or decent Orange and Lemon Chicken.  My co-workers love to go to Asian restaurants and I happen to be a picky eater.  I will try new things, even if they look scary (sometimes not however), but mostly I stick with what I know.  Lemon Chicken and Orange Chicken.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who only eats those at Asian restaurants, but if you do, and you live in the DFW area, you have found the right blog for you.
